Hi, I am not seeing any changes to pixel density when running OTT and Oculus software content. I am running OTT as admin and start OTT before opening oculus. Am I doing something wrong? Where do I find the logs?
It should not matter if you start OTT or the Oculus App first, but OTT needs to be running before you start any games. But let's do a simple test.
Make sure OTT and Oculus is running, then start a game that does not have a profile.
Any game will do, as long as ther is not profile for it.
Then go to OTT and on the first tab, Game Settings, there is an option called Visual HUD. In there, select "Pixel Density". Put you headset on and there should now be a "panel" in there with some info, pixel density being one of them. Note the value you have there.
Next, shut the game down and change the Visual HUD to "none".
On the same tab, set the "Default Super Sampling" option to something other that 0, like 1.4 or something. Start the same game again, and once again set Visual HUD to "Pixel Density" and see what value you have now. Did it change? If so, that part is
working fine.
Next, try the same with a game that does have a profile. Note that the options set
for the profile will override any settings on the Game Settings tab, so make sure
you have set the profile up properly. Note what the Log Window in OTT says what you start the game. You should see if it is detected or not in there. Let's start there and see how things look.
The ott.log is located right where OTT is installed, by default it is in
Ah, ok. Thanks for the update!
Thank you, I was trying to adjust it whilst having a profile active.

The ott.log is located right where OTT is installed, by default it is in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Oculus Tray Tool
