Hmm.. wierd. I just tried, first making sure i had "App & browser control" protection enabled for Defender in Windows Security settings, and it installed without complaining. I'm on Windos 10 20H2, so not sure how Windows 11 behaves, if that is what you are running?
Update: I changed my Defender "blocking" threshold from low to moderate threat, ran a virus scan, and it installed. Thanks! Will try it out later today.
Alas, comrade: Multiple attempts. Defender refuses to install the tray. Period. No idea why; I presume it's trying to protect the virginity of the precious WMR. I'll keep trying.
Hi, can't even download it.
bit.ly complaines about it being harmful and blockes my download completely.
Do you use some hooking library of something that could cause any false alarms?
Never experienced this behavior with bit.ly before.
Can't think of any cause why bit.ly should block this download but not OTT if both would use similar hooking tech.
Please double-check that everything is alright with your Windows Mixed Reality Tray Tweaker 1.1.0 .

Hi Mate!
I didn't realize you also made a forum post so i only pinged you back via email.
But yea, no malware in there. =) Windows Defender tends to give false positives on apps it doesn't know about.
Cheers!
